Lift Kit and ???
Looking to throw a 4" lift kit under the JK and curious what all needs to be done with that. Will there be parts that need replaced? I am mechanically helpless so any and all advice is appreciated, cost, brands, etc.

Obviously, blurbs like these are no help whatsoever in answering the question of what parts to consider replacing...
Q: What are all the components that I will need with a 3" lift?
Q: What are all the components that I will need with a 4" lift?
Q: What is Caster? How much do I need?
Q: Why do I need an adjustable front track bar?
Q: Are there any write-ups on how to install a lift on my Jeep JK Wrangler?
Q: I just installed a lift on my JK. Do I need an alignment?
Q: Is there a good chart that I can refference to help me determine what gear ratio I should have installed based on the tire size I am running and the RPM's that I hope to be running?
And that is just the faq's. I wonder if there might be some useful information in the other one. Somewhere. Maybe? Nah, doubt it.
But at 4", look in to:
Some form of caster correction. (brackets/cam bolts/fixed arms/adjustable arms)
Some form of axle centering. (brackets/adjustable trackbars)
Some form of steering correction. (high steer/drag link flip/drop pitman)
Some way to get slack in to the brake lines.
Bumpstops.
Driveshaft(s).
First off, what size of tire are you planning on running?
Not knowing your plans and off-road skills, this is my opinion. I started off-roading stock and now have a TF 2.5 spring lift with 34" tires. In that range of lift & tire size, my Jeep is way more capable off-road than I have the guts to take it. I am a novice with Jeeps, but have wheeled trucks quite a bit.
