Just looking for some feedback on lifting my 2dr jk. I've been looking at lift kits and have been debating on which one to install. The specific lifts I've been looking at are Pro Comp 4" stage 1 kit $650, Skyjacker 3.5" basic kit $520, Rubicon Express 3.5" basic coil kit without shocks $579, Fabtech 3" basic coil $650, Teraflex 2.5" coil lift without shocks $479, and last but not least Rouch Country 3.5" Series II kit $500. I will be running 35" tires once I install the lift. I will be doing the lift installation myself. I have a budget that I'm trying to stay at with lift, tires, and rims. I'm not a die hard off roader. I will be going in the mud ocassionally, but not every weekend. I just need some feedback on what everyone thinks about these kits.

You should look into rock krawler. Quality stuff!

 

First let me say "Welcome to the Forum". If your just wanting to run 35's and no serious off roading you may want to just change out your 2 dr springs to a set of Rubicon 4 dr springs to gain a couple of inches. Then whether or not you can afford new wheels you can go with wheel spacers to run the 35's. That would be your cheapest route.

 

Thanks Gman, Im glad to be a new member in the forum. When I do off roading down here in south florida it is coral rock and mud. So I'm looking quality parts that can handle this terrain. My budget that I'm looking at is $2000 with everything.

Was in the same boat as you last week, and after some research I decided to go with TeraFlex 2.5 BB, and 34's.
Bought the JKUR new last thursday, got the lift on this weekend, and the tires on today. Took a test drive off road this afternoon, and I am happy.
With these small mods, the JK can take me anywhere I want to go, and back! I was shocked to see how much the performance changed!

 

I have a 07 jk with the Tera flex 2.5" spacers. I have Mickey Thompson 35" tires. One of the spacers is worn out on the front so my jeep leans. I would like to get the rancho 4" long arm suspension. Does anyone know if it is worth the time and money?

 

Would you guys suggest the Rock Krawler 2.5 mod lift kit which runs $479.99 off of quadratec and then purchase Teraflex shocks? I really would like to start out small, but I do like height so I really would like a 3 to 4 inch lift. I was thinking if I start out with the 2.5 lift, I can always put coil spacers or change out the springs for a decent price in the future. What do you guys think about skyjacker and pro comp lifts?

 

I will throw my rig in the mix here. I have a 2013 jk and i put the full traction 3" economy plus kit on it. The kit is complete, all you need is shocks. The rk kit doesnt come with extended links or bump stops, you have to buy seperately. I ran this ft kit on my 12 jkur and was very pleased with it. I am happy with it so far on my 2 door as well. It is a universal kit, so the same kit for a 2 or 4 door, thus i netted 4" on the lift. The kit was $550 from 4wd

 

I have the RC 2.5, had it for a while now, and can't complain. Plenty of room for 35's, install is simple. Only thing I needed was some longer sway bar end links that can be found for like $20-25. With the price, it leave you lots of money for some other mods.
