Lift kit reviews

In light of the recent discussion of lifts, we all felt a thread with ONLY lift kit reviews in it would be a good source of information.

AzTJ posted a great lift review in the Your Lift thread, so we'll use his format which I will add in a second.

Here are the rules.

1. This is a review of YOUR lift. No second hand reviews. 2. Try and stay in the format Az used to ease the exchange of information. 3. This is not a discussion thread. 4. Oh and please post up some pictures.

Any post but lift review posts will be deleted. If you have a question about a specific lift you can always PM the person or start a new thread.

Please be fair in your reviews. This lift sucks is not a review. Also, those reading reviews, remember this is personal opinion based on personal experience. If your lift is already reviewed, review it anyway. Ratings and reviews are always better when there's more than one opinion to draw from.

Thanks to everyone for participating.

Here's the format...

LIFT: Full Traction 3" Premium Plus
SHOCKS:Bilstien 5100
SYE/CVD: No
TIRES/WHEELS: For purposes of this review stock Rubi (Just moved up to 37's but ran it for a year on the Rubi stuff)

Likes: Rugged, Crazy Flex, Quiet, works at speed for open desert stuff. Made in USA. Good Ride

Dis-Likes: Should have come with front lower instead of upper arms. HAVE TO HAVE 4 1/2 backspace wheels or spacers or the rear swaybar links will rub.

Would You Recommend:Yes

LIFT:
Full Traction, 4", 8 arms
Full Traction CRC Link

SHOCKS:
FOX + reservoir

TIRES:
Mickey Thompson MTZ 35” (actually 34”), 315/70/17, Load D
DD - 30 psi. Offroad - 14 to 25 psi

WHEELS:
Pro Comp 7105 Xtreme, 17x9

Likes:
Very well made and good articulation.
Relatively soft, smooth & completely quiet.

The Full Traction CRC Link made a meaningful steering improvement.
It replaces the rear radius arm, and eliminates the sideways movement of the axle, so the need for constant small steering corrections has disappeared.
This improvement is quite noticeable both on roads and offroad.
A side benefit is that it also serves as a shield for the rear differential.

None.

When running wild - sprinting - I sometimes hit the bump stops... Not a true complaint, as the suspension is tuned for slower obstacle crossing and not for offroad speeding or jumps.
Better bump stops will take care of this (Haven't decided yet if FOX or TeraFlex).

Does this count? It's not an actual "kit"

LIFT: Teraflex 1" front leveling spacer

SHOCKS: Stock Sport

SYE/CVD: No

TIRES/WHEELS: Stock with 1.5" PSC Spacers

Likes: Rides like factory while looking beefier, Cheap and easy to do yourself, gets you by until you can afford a "real lift", allows for 33x11.5 or larger tires when I can afford them

Dis-Likes: Doesn't give you any more travel/flex

Would You Recommend: Yes, for less than $200, I am very satisfied with it's capabilities until I have the coin to do much more.

Lift: metal Cloak 3.5" gamechanger. 3-4" daystar spacers
Shocks: MC 6 pack
Tires/wheels: Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ 37-12.50-17, AEV pintler beadlocks

Review: this is hands down the best on road lift kit I have ever driven or ride in. It truly does handle better than my buddy's Sahara on rubi take offs. The little bit of flexing I have done have been great. Will test it thoroughly soon. The shocks have more down travel than anything short of coil overs. I am sure that the offroad performance will match the on road performance.

Likes: complete kit. Everything you need with good instructions. Most potential flex available on the market excluding coil overs. Best kit for a DD.

Dislikes: not sure why the rear sway bar gets relocated. Can hit muffler on large bumps. Will have to replace muffler with smaller unit.

LIFT: 4" SkyJacker with Lower Control Arms
SHOCKS: Pro Comp
TIRES/WHEELS: 315/75/16 BFG AT KO's mounted on MB 72's
Likes: the stance is perfect and articulates pretty well.. The price point was good.. Overall a pretty good package
Dis-Likes: experienced road wandering at highway speeds so I have had to throw a little more money at it to get the steering geometry right. The front end sagged about 1.25" after adding a stinger and winch.. Spacers on order
