Question lift kit TF 3'' premium question

Hello,

I ordered the FT 3'' premium lift kit, which comes with front/rear lower arms (fixed length), I ordered on top of this the rear ajd track bar and I wonder if it might better to change the front/rear adj arms to complete the kit?

I also plan to change the tiers I m looking forward for BFG KM2 33.3'' (I have the 3.73 gear) do you think it might be ok for this lift or should I go bigger? I would like to keep so far my stock rubicon wheels (unitl I have more $$) what to you think might be a good option for the tiers with this lift?

Cheers,

Christophe.

IMO, you should upgrade to the ultimate kit so you can adjust your pinion angle as needed, You'll need them when you replace shafts

If your looking to keep the same size wheels a 3" lift will be more that adequate... not sure if they will look a little shrimpy though...

I am planning on putting 35" km2's on the Teraflex Elite LCG JK 3” Long Arm Suspension System

And I agree with Piginajeep, at 3"s a new driveshaft is recommended, so you might want to look into those for your next mod

as for other mods... hum... let me think... Front Bumper, winch, rear bumper, tire carrier, rocker guards, steering stabilizer, exhaust, air intake, and, and, and...

Here is a recommendation thought... Before I head out on the trail again, I will be picking up a high lift jack... Didn't have one last time, thankfully my buddy had one with him or I would still be out on the trail....

Checked into many brands of 3" lifts. Best seems to be, Teraflex, Rubicon Express. Going with Teraflex. The RE does not have adjustable control arms which can be
adjusted to prevent Death Wobble. Read one write up about problems with FT, but again there
are many opinions. Very important to have excellent installers. Problems can be lengths of brake cables, ABS wiring, axle breather tube, driveshaft clearance, position of shocks, skid plate
rubbing, etc.

blazer4949, could you provide the link to the write up about FT problems, I will be most intersted to read it before I start installing the kit. Anyway I read some thread about FT stuff but it seems it was link to a particular 4x4 shop.

There is many options that I tried to make up my mind to one of these options, which is FT, I just received it today, it seems pertty good quality. I read very good feedback on the FT kit.

I have the 3" FT premium lift with front & rear adj. track bars, and m-force shocks. I have no death wobble problems, the instructions were not that great, if you have installed other lifts it shouldn't be an issue. The one thing I would recommend is longer front brake lines for when you disco the front sway bar.

I am also running 3.73's and 34" tires, and the tires do look a little small.

check out WOL install of the Ultimate kit, it will answer any questions you have. its the same install process, just skip the part of adjusting the arms.

I have the 3" Full Traction Ultimate which has really been upgraded to the 4" Ultimate and I use it with nice thick differential covers with no problems. I've had it on for 15,000 miles with no problems. If you have any questions, regarding install, reliability, etc., fire away and I will try to answer them to the best of my knowledge.

I did have one rib on the front cover touch the track bar, but that was handled with a little minor grinding and some touch up paint. I sure it doesn't work with every cover on the market, but, as with all lifts and Jeep mods, these are things you have to research a little before you just go throwing stuff together.

A lot of problems with lifts a lot of times are installer error. Proper torquing of bolts, some while in the air and some while on the ground can attribute to premature failure of bushings etc. Like I said, my lift has been on for 15,000 with no problems to speak of.

I also know plenty of people with the Teraflex lift and have to say that it is also a quality product. Teraflex is also a sponsor here and very active on the forum. I am sure if you do a search you will see they stand behind their products and have a great reputation in doing so.

I wouldn't have a problem endorsing either one of them.

Another great option would be a long arm kit or Offroad Evolution's Coilover kit. That thing is awesome, but I think my wife would be able to notice that mod!
