Default Lift it or not

So the UPS guy just showed up and brought me my 2.5 terra flex kit that I got used, , All nice and clean and pretty in the box. But now comes the hard part. Should I install the kit and wait for the stock tires to wear out or just go for broke and get new tires when I install the kit. The problem is I just dont have the cash for new wheels and tires, or just tires yet. Would a
2 dr look plain old stupid with that lift and stock tires. When I look at some of the pics I think they look great then the next one it looks wrong. It seems some time that there is to much space in the wheel wells. Little about the jeep its a black 2dr soft top with a warn winch and bumper, and currently it had 1.75 spacers in the front to get ride of the rake and make it level (heavy bumper and winch) any ways sorry for the long post but what do you guys think? and If any of you guys with the lift installed on factory rims and tires lets see them

I lifted mine before I got tires, it prompted me to spend my tax return on rims and tires

I put a 4" lift on my 4 door and I still have factory 32s and it doesn't look bad. Sure there's a gap, but It's not bad.

Here is another vote for doing it now. I don't know about you, but personally I would not have the willpower to wait.

Lift it...wait on tires! Seriously...I am still a noob, but I asked a TON of people and there is no real reason to pony up for new tires, and wheels, when you do a lift other than aesthetic. I mean, sure there will be a gap, but who else will notice? Some other Jeep people? SO what! Unless they are paying for your ride who gives?!

I did the 2" coil spring lift on mine and still have the factory tires. Truth be told when they die, I will probably slap on 33" or 35" and maybe do a 2" BB. In the mean time, your Jeep will benefit from the added lift and really on a BB the gap will not be that noticeable...especially to non Jeepers! I can tell since I did my lift, I get even more lifts in traffic, it just lifts it enough that cars especially are really down there and I see them eyeballin' my JK all the time and I am sure they are not thinking.."honey, is there a gap there?" Hell NO! They are wishing they didn't drive a damn mini-van or accord!

Lift it = enjoyment now

Save $ buy bad ass tires and wheel = more enjoyment later!

lift it now.
i did and wow what a difference in the ride quality and frame contact with rocks. also leveled the jeep quite nicely. ull like it even on stockers. im gonna ride the stockers until they wear out, since im saving not only for tires but gears as well.

Default Lift it!

Lift it now. That way, you can lift it, test it, add tires, and test it. you won't change as many things at one time. Some of the guys who have suspension problems on here changed a bunch of things at once and it makes it really hard to figure out what caused the change.

Who cares what others think about the looks. Its your Jeep. do what you want with it. Just remember that a big gap is a huge amount of clearance for great articulation.

+1 You change too much stuff and one time and have problems it will take forever trying to figure out what to fix.
