Question Lift question

Was thinking of installing a 2.5" BB from Teraflex in my shop at the house. I've read over the instructions and everything looks pretty straight forward except when I got to the statement that the alignment needed to be done before it was driven. Is there a manual way of checking that or should I take it to a shop? The Finished product is planned for @ 35" tires on Stock Sahara 18" rims with 1.5" spacers. Looking for any feedback.
BTW it's for a 2013 2DR

You shouldn't need an alignment. Most you would need is straighten your steering wheel by loosening draglink and turning, but mine didn't even need that

And just FYI, you could probably get aftermarket 15" wheels and 35's for less than it would cost to wrap those 18" stock wheels withs 35's plus spacers. Just food for thought

Centering the steering wheel is all that's necessary. Takes about 5 minutes plus a test drive, and possibly a final adjustment based on the test drive.

This is more than you want, Basic Do-it-Yourself Jeep JK Wrangler Front End Alignment. Look for the section titled re-centering your steering wheel.

Stupid question but does the Jeep need to be off the ground before adjusting the turnbuckle or can it be sitting on the ground?

Default Thanks

Thanks all for your input. Now I feel better about doing it at the house. Now to decide which tire to run.

I run duratracs on my 18inch stock wheels, it is cheaper to buy a 17inch rim and tire combo than use the stocks, 18's are crazy expensive!

If you're not going bigger than 35's, 15" wheels for the win

I run 35 x 12.5 R15 km2 on my Sahara . Has worked out great , had to grind down my front calipers a bit for them to fit on and not grind but only took 10 minutes. Worth the effort to save big money on tires and rims. I was worried about the balancing at first but just get them rotated and balanced regularly and you won't have any issues
