Default Lift Question

I have something to consider, but a little time (about 20K miles) to think about it. When I replace my tires, it will be with 255/80R17 KM2 tires. I am currently at stock height and do not need or want to lift my Jeep too much. Mostly because I regularly have a 83 year old passenger who already has a hard time getting in my Jeep, but loves it when he is in it. What I am looking for is input and thoughts on how much lift I would need so that I dont rub at full stuff. The two ways I am considering going are a 2 1/2 inch BB or, a 1 inch body lift. I have never really liked body lifts, but it kind of makes sense to me in this instance. Would a 1 inch body lift be enough?
Thanks

if you're just gonna run 255's, you shouldn't need any lift at all.

So I wont have a rubbing problem? The 255/80R17 is 33.3 inches, right? I plan on keeping the stock wheels.
