Default Lift Question - need help/advice

I recently had a 2.5in Rough Country Spacer Lift put on my jeep - also RC shocks as well....kinda wished I went to 3 or 3.5" lift....question is - is there anything else I can do besides getting a whole new lift to get another 1/2 inch to inch.....or is there any other suggestions - minus telling me that I just need to get a 3.5 kit and pay to have a whole new lift put on......thanks and appreciate all the help.

Why do you want a higher lift? Ground clearance? Room to fit 37's?

You cant add spacers to a budget boost so just get 3" coils or 2.5 coils and add spacers from that.I know teraflex has just coils in sets front and rear. If you have a jku you should be ok with 3" lift if you have a jk you might have issues with a 3" inch lift drive shaft angle.good luck

You could add a 1"body lift or throw in some Rubi springs if you don't have a Rubicon. Other than that, get all new springs, don't stack spacers though.

Call rough country they can piece you an upgrade kit to 3.5" . When I was in the market for a lift I went big because I knew that I was not going to be happy with the 2" kits since I had a 5" rancho lift on my last ride and was so happy with it.

Reason I ask is because, you can purchase Jku rubi springs fairly cheap, put them on a jk sport, and get 1 1/2 to 2 inches of lift.

I want to know why he wants more lift. Going to 3" plus introduces a boat load of potential issues. Seeing his lift is a budget boost, he not wheeling this hard so going taller for the sake of being taller is just ridiculous. If he wants to wheel, he needs to throw the BB out and get a lift that will benefit him off road. Finding out what the intentions are for the jeep means we can give real advice to the OP.

Thanks for all the responses and questions - some details - its a 2008 JKU Sahara - I want the 3 ot 3.5 because I am going to want to go to 37s - knowing that is what I am going to do I am trying to piece it together the right way - so I want to have the lift and all the "other" mods done to the point where I but the 37s and I can put them on and drive off happy. Some one made a good point and mentioned 3 to 3.5 opening up a whole bunch of other issues. Can you elaborate a little. Has anyone went for 2.5 to 3 .5 and what have your experiences been?

At 3 to 3.5 inches of lift your diveshaft is pretty much maxed out. It will be ok for a while, but you will need to replace that. Also you might need to look at an adjustable front track bar and front adjustable lower control arms.
