lift questions, plz help
i have a 2dr jk wrangler X. how much lift would i actually get with a 3"/4"/4.5" lift? whats the max for keeping a good low center of gravity? teraflex or rubicon express? currently have 35" tires. thanks for any info.
Pick a lift, and then look into 'actual' lift heights. Some are short, some are tall, and a few may even give you the height they state.
As an example:
TF lifts are known to be tall. - Their website gives a good indication in the description for each particular lift.

JK Wrangler 3+” Lift Kit without shocks
Note; The 3” lift description refers to the minimum amount of lift on a Wrangler with 4 doors and all the options including a hard top. Allowance is also given to aftermarket items such as a winch and heavy duty bumpers. You may experience as much as 5 inches of front lift and 4 on the rear with a 2 door soft top X model Wrangler.

with 3" you can fit 37's if you ever want too and not add any additional parts.
remember with the two door and 3" lift you'll need a new rear shaft eventually. If not sooner
If raising your COG is your primary concern then get a 2.5" coil and shock lift from Terraflex , RE or OME and put a 1' body lift in and your will easily clear 35s. A body lift gives you more fender clearance for bigger tires without raising your frame which is key to keeping your COG as low as possible. A suspension lift will give you more fender clearance for larger tires but it will raise you COG more than a body lift. The suspension lift moves your frame and body higher which increases your COG. Keeping the weight from your frame as low as possible is the key to keeping your COG down.
Go with a 2.5" coil kit #1251000 for those 35's. A TeraFlex 3" will be almost a 5" and you'll want driveshafts/control arms/trackbars with it. If you have any questions send me a pm or call me.

I have a question for Teraflex, as I will fit the 2'5 coil and shock kit on my 2 door JK, together to front trackbar and adjustable front lower arms.
You say that, from 3" new rear driveshaft must be fitted, but, at the same time you say that 2'5" Teraflex Kit gives 3'5". So my question is: Rear driveshaft is needed then with Tera 2'5" Kit?.
