how big of a lift can i do before having to change my driveshaft and whatever else?

 

Depends on what you have. I have read on here of guys with JKU going 4 inches without changing shafts. That seems risky to me i wouldnt go anything over 3.5 or so. Just my opinion though!

 

I would say 3.25 but at max 3.5

People will say more but, it wont last long

 

you can get away with it at 3.5, but you're cutting it REALLY close.. it'd be a good idea to go ahead and plan swapping it really soon.

 

be aware that most lifts give much more height than the advertised. In any case dont exceed 3inches of real lift.

 

What are you planning on doing with the jeep, street only, little off road or a hardcore off roader. Street only i think you'll get by with 4in, little off road 3.5in, hardcore 3.25 or less. Its all about the angles and strain your putting on the shaft. (thats what she said) Remember some lifts say they lift 3.5in but you may be closer to 4+. so if your concerned make a list, ranking the lift you want and go down your list and reserch them till you find the one thats best for you.
