Default lift suggestion

Ok I have been reading for a month now and still have questions.

in the FAQ it says:
Q: What are all the components that I will need with a 3" lift?
A: At bare minimum, you should have a set of 3" coils, bump stop extensions, longer shocks, rear brake line extension brackets, new longer rear sway bar links (factory links can be installed up front), adjustable front track bar and rear track bar relocation bracket. Optimally, I would recommend adjustable front upper and lower control arms as well as they will help you set your caster to the appropriate angle it needs to be. Also, if you have a 2-door, adjustable rear upper control arms and a new double cardin U-joint style drive shaft would be highly advisable.

So my question is this if I go with a less than 3" BB will it have everything I need to safely lift the jk. All the BB style lifts I have looked at have minimal parts and I would rather do it right the first time and not harm my jeep by not properly lifting it.

also is there a BB to 3" lift that you would consider to be "Complete" and if so can you provide a link or name.

Thanks for all the help in advance and sorry if these questions have been answered b4 but I did look all over and couldn't find the answers.

at less than 3" of lift, the changes to your suspension/steering geometry won't be significant enough to warrant additional components that are normally used to help correct these changes. so, yes, you will be fine with what you get.

a budget boost and 3" of lift are two different things altogether. most 3" lifts will yield more than 3" of actual lift and you will want what is listed in the FAQ.

Default thank you.

ahhh I couldn't understand why a half inch would make that much of a difference. So basically the BB lifts are closer or exactly what they say as far as lift and other lifts are at or above usually? sorry im kinda green when it comes to lifts.

BB lifts use coil spacers that are of an exact height. coil lifts even ones that are advertised as being 2.5" typically end up being higher. also, at 3", installing new longer shocks is highly recommended and if you have an automatic, this will give you more axle droop up front (a good thing) but, this additional droop will also cause your drive shaft boot to catch on the tranny sump pan and tear (not so good of a thing but not that big of a deal either).
