Default lift and tire advise for moab

I live in utah and plan on taking my new rubi to moab. I have an '08 unlimited, and need advise on a lift and tires. I want something with a good highway ride first, and off-road performance second. I'm thinking 3" BDS with BFG 35x12.50s. I don't want it to be too big. what do you think?

Good choice, dog. 35s are about as big as you should go if your primary goal is ride comfort/daily driver duties. A bunch of cats run 37s up on here, but I think highway comfort is NOT their first priority. 3" lift is a pretty good choice as well. I've heard nothing but good things about the Black Diamond lift.

I watched a TJ Rubi with a 4" lift and 35's conquer everything thrown at it during a late December trip to Moab. And that was in the snow.

I have a Teraflex 4" lift and Toyo 35's on my 2 DR Sahara. I just got back from Moab and the 35's really help on the ledges that you encounter there. I was a little worried it would feel top heavy or tippy but it rides and feels great. Awsome articulation with the manual disco's and still is a very streetable ride. The tires are a little stiff ( 8 ply) But I think it looks great and handles to match.
