I have a 2008 jku and I'm finally ready to lift and put new wheels and tires on it. I don't do any crazy wheeling but its not just a DD either. After reading tons of posts I have found it very difficult to narrow down what the best lift (for me) would be.

The price for rough country is very appealing but that scares me a little on the quality side. The other was the teraflex. Any thoughts???

Also, would 2.5" be sufficient for 35"? Would this cause any other issues or is there a better combination?

 

I just installed a 2.5" Skyjacker sport lift and 3/4" Daystar coil spacers 1.75" Rough Country wheel spacers but he's running 285/65R18 toyos

I swear by Skyjacker parts.... But i also just installed a 3"/2" rough country lift in my dad's Toyota Tacoma.... I liked the quality of the rough country lift too

Thanks. Any suggestions on where to buy? Direct tire seems to be the cheapest for tires but what about the lifts?

 

BDS looks like the 3" suspension is basically the same price as the teraflex 2.5". Have you had an issues with driveshafts, exhaust or something else when going with the 3"?

 

That looks sweet! How do you like the MT baja tires? I was torn between those and the trail grapplers.

 

The price of the skyjacker is much more appealing than some of the others that I was looking at. Have you had any sag problems with the it or the rc?

 

I installed a 4" skyjacker lift with 35"s on my 11' JKU and have had nothing but good things to say about it. The kits are a reasonable price and that makes ppl say the old saying "you get what you pay for" which I like not to believe. If you instal the lift right and buy the right type of lift (as far as what the lift comes with) for the type of wheeling your going to be doing then there should be no problems. Best of luck!

 

I also have the skyjacker 4" lift. No problems and rides unbelievable on highway.

 

Will I have any problems when I add more weight (bumpers...etc)?
