Lift with Trackbars?
Well, the general consensus is that you need them over 3" of lift. I tend to agree. They will recenter your axles and help your jeep track straighter on the highway. Ive also heard axle shift might cause other issues, such as bowed coils, and rear sway bar links rubbing.
Trackbars work with the shifting of the axle from left to right. Adjustable bars allow you to center the axle left to right. Most lifts come with drop brackets that attatch to the trackbar to compensate for the added height. I have a 3" lift, and I used the drop bracket that came with the lift for the rear trackbar, but installed an adjustable trackbar in the front.
I have a 4in Superlift that came with a frt adj trackbar, bought a rear JKS adj trackbar and got rid of the bracket that attaches to the axle. Alot of people have been having trouble with the axle attached brackets, not so much on the frame mounted ones.
I put a 2.5" lift on my unlimted and I needed the adj. trac bars.
Here is a great kit for the money.
