Lift/wheel options please
I'm going to tell to you guys what I plan to do with my jeep and where it will be driven then I'll see what lift you guys think. 2012 jku with 17" rubicon wheels.
I use the jeep 90% dd but do take it on a 2 mile off road drive once a week. I'm always dragging the belly so I know I need to lift it. I plan to run the 255 bfg for awhile since the tires are brand new, so at least 2 years with these tires!!. Later on I do plan to get 33" but I would like new wheels now. Should I stick with the 17" or wait till I get bigger tires to get maybe a 16"? 17" vs 16"? Tire cost?
Lift now
I do plan on within 6 months putting on this front and rear bumper so I know this will add weight.

Should I go with a bb with shock extenders or go for the teraflex 2.5 coil lift with shock extenders? Will the bumpers sag the TF coils a lot or are those pretty firm? Should I even do 2.5 or a 2.0 since I'll be keeping the 255. Is there a better company to get than TF and stay around $550 or less? When going with a 2.5 will I need any other adapters for exhaust or brake lines. I've read yes and no so I want to clear this up.
Now mpg to go with all this. When going with just a 2.5 will I notice a difference with stock bumpers? And then once I add bumpers? And then 33s? I'm currently getting 16mpg

I have a 08 jku with the teraflex 2.5 coil lift with shock extensions .great kit but i have added to it since I've had it on my Jeep still have the stock rims with Spidertrax spacers and 285-75-17 .
Never been a fan of spacers.
I did the AEV 2.5. Came with shocks, brake line drops and everything at $800. Running 285/75R17. No change in Mpg but I did cal the computer to the wheels.
I went 17" mainly because that's what is available in AEV Savegre rims. More tire options in 16" today but as time goes on 17 will get there.
Weight? Really depends on the weight of the bumper package your looking at. The one I'm going with weights less than the stock.
If your dragging belly... I don't think a few inches will cure it on a 4dr. You'll look cooler while dragging though
Lifted 4dr with less that a 285 looks a little funny. I wouldn't lift it until your ready to do tires.

For a 4 door, we would recommend getting some 35's under it just to get some real advantages out of your hard earned money!
Just food for thought. If you want to talk about you build, give us a shout. Good luck with your build.

Ah didn't think if that. I currently have a leveling kit that I never installed. I'm kinda thinking just throw it on. I have a buddy at the fire station that has a 2 door with rubicon wheels with a 2.5 and it looks good.
