I had a 3 inch with 33s and it wasn't to bad on my old jeep. I chose a 2.5 with 33s this time and I think it looks perfect! Congrats on your purchase u will love it no matter what you do.

I ran a lot of places ("used used", LOL) with 33s and 2.5" of lift. I now run 35s on 2.5" lift. Here are some pics back with the 33s ...

And this is my friend's Jeep on 2.5" and 33s. Because of the weight from the gear we were carrying on this extended off-road trip, he had sag (TF 2.5" lift). We replaced his rear springs with OME HD after this trip to correct that (I had the same problem a couple years ago, BTW) ...

Go straight to 35s. I was in the same place as you are last year. I did alot of research and posts and made the decision to go 35 instead of 33. I cannot tell you how much happier i am. In fact, you really dont even need a lift to go to 33. I have 2.5 AEV with 315/70/17 (34.4) and it rides perfectly.

Also, i was worried about gears since I ended up with 3.21 going to 35s. The lower gears are not an issue. I didnt even notice any significant change, although I will go to 4.56 in the future.

So, do you self a favor to over think it and upgrade the tore size to 35. Just my opinion..

Yep..Automatic.

I was expecting major shift in performance. I roll on highway at 70-75 at around 2500 and still have ECO popping up. I am sure once i add bumpers and other items i will need to bump the gears, but it did fall om my list of things to do.

Some people have fitment issues with 15s and the calipers but a little grinding will take care of that
