Default lifting my jk 4 dr

so I have a 4 1/2" bds lift i purchased for my jk 4dr, but if I put this on will I need to change driveshafts? This jeep is a daily driver and I really dont want to have to modify it that much. Alternitivly I have thought about trying to just put 3-3 1/2" springs in using the adjustable control arms from the 4 1/2" kit. Any suspention gurus out there that can help me out on this issue?

Welcome to the forum. What size of tire are you wanting to run? That is a pretty tall lift. If you wheel heavy you might have to change out driveshafts down the road as well.

Ive got a 2 1/2 lift on now, and running 32" tires, but it is just a spacer lift and this is an actual spring replacement lift...plus i got it on a really good deal! lol I dont want to go taller than 35's but more than likely will stay around 33". I would like to keep my stock fender flares for now, so I dont want to go too big on tires. it has 3:77 gears in it.

4 1/2 is to much lift for 33's, you can run 33's now with your setup. With 3 1/2 you can run 35's with stock flares. If your jeep is a 12' and up your going to need a front driveshaft

Yep, lots of lift for 33's. Plan on a new front shaft. And you might do some reading on the Drop Pitman that comes in the kit also.

Thanks for the input guys, I think I have decided to go with 3" springs, but use the control arms and stuff that came with the 4" lift. I dont want it lifted that much, and I'm sure the control arms and sway bar disconnects will still work as they are adjustable

Read the thread in my signature, it might give you some insight on your suspension.

2012 and up requires an exhaust adjustment does it not as well?
