LIFTS...!!! I have to ask...
Thanks to all that replied. But for as many people on here that have lifts I sure didn't get the response that I expected. Makes me wonder about how many people really did have problems.
Oh well.....
Oh well.....
Probably because those of us that did have any probs already posted them and have "forgotten" them cause we enjoy our jeeps and realize the problem wasn't so bad. People on here have waited months for things to be delivered, but once they came in it was worth the wait. Alot of people have troubles with crappy directions, missing parts, but these too are usually pretty easily rectified. I think everyone just chalks it up as an experience thing and after it's all said and done it's not so bad.

I've ordered and installed a 2.5BB on my JK, with shocks, later added 3/4" spacers to front with no issues whatsoever. My buddy ordered a 3" teraflex lift springs, shocks, swaybar, etc. I installed it for him with no issues on his JK. Most recently I installed a 3.5" RE full lift with a sway bar on my TJ. It was the toughest but just because there was more stuff to take apart like the pitman arm, some steering components (ball joints). The only problems with the TJ were expected ones, vibrations, which were corrected with a SYE and new driveshaft.
Just finished installing Tera Flex 4" full flex with 35"s. Ordered the lift last week and it arrived on schedule with no problems. I started on it on Wed. after work and put in about 6 hours. Didn't work on it Thursday put in another 6 hrs. on Friday and an hour this morning rechecking everything. Wheels and tires arrived on Friday A.M. and I had them mounted and balanced at a local shop. Put them on and went for my first cruise including a small section of rocks on my ranch and it is feeling great. This is a new 2008 JK with only 60 miles on it so it was clean and straight to start with. It is the first lift i have ever put on. I am fairly handy with tools but the instructions were easy to follow and the system though a little techncal was not at all hard to figure out.
Thanks to this site and all of the great reading.... Lots of ideas and helpful info.

I ordered a teraflex 2.5 spring kit w/shocks from David @ Northridge, kit was here in less than a week. Absolutely no problems with the install, and so far no problems on or off the road. I think most problems with installs and off road issues are handled here on the site. For example, if I had a problem with the install on the teraflex kit, they would address that issue and revise their kits. The longer the JK's are out, the more field test can be done to improve the lifts.
Installed my OME HD kit as well as bumpers and winch with 50 miles on the clock.
Using air tools, floor jack, jack stands on a brand new Jeep in an enclosed 2 car garage is about as good as it gets, especially when it's not your DD.
My single problem was one of the front OME shocks was missing it's installation hardware, but I had stuff around to take care of that.
The only thing I'd change is that I would do everything at once. Due to the FT trackbar backorder, it was about a week later that I put them on, and several days after that that the upper control arms were installed.
Priceless was the girlfriend's comment when seeing the lift and wheels/tires put together for the first time, "are you sure you'll be able to get it out of the garage?"
If you're about to dive into a suspension installation, check the Project JK writeups, very helpful, especially in regard to tools used.
