Light bar hood deflector thing
Not having much luck finding any information on this as I can't seem to figure out what its called
Basically looking for DIY ideas on how to make a flat piece of material attach to the bottom of the light bar that is above the windshield to prevent the light hitting the hood.
Its never bothered me as it is a nice even light across the entire hood but comparing I decided to hold my finger up and cover the hood while driving one day and it actually made a good difference.
Anyone have pictures of how they mounted their light output deflector things to their light bar? Or suggestions on material type. I am thinking metal or plastic but not sure where I'd find such a large chunk of plastic.

I believe that the matte black hood decals like on the mountain edition were originally developed by an off road racer to eliminate the hood glare from high mounted off road lights. You can get these is solid black or with graphics like Rebel Off Road offers. Sounds like a different approach that the op is looking for but could be another solution.

Maybe put some kind of clip on the back that hooks onto a fin of the heat sink. I might have to try it tomorrow night and see how far out the shade needs to come. I'd think pressure from the wind at highway speeds would try to rip it off.

The hood is a uniform bright spot because of the overhead light bar. Now like I said it hasn't bothered me much comparing to my a-pillar spots I used to have as this is a uniform color instead of 2 hot spots.
I actually found one product online that I was going to mimic but can't find it again since they used some weird 'performance deflector' term that isn't normal.
Essentially what it looked like was a a U but the sides of the U went to where the bolts go through the light bar to the bracket and then a long flat piece below it... kinda like I______________I with the light bar in the middle. Would of been 100x easier to show a picture =/
