Default Lightbar

So a friend of mine is offering me his brand new never used ridged light bar and light. I'm debating on putting it on or reselling it, is the whistle really that bad?

I have a different light bar (50" KC LED), but I can say that the only time it has ever made a whistle was after it got turned up after a drive through car wash.

The whistle can be fixed.

Not a 100% permanent fix yet, but if you cover the sides with something to keep air from flowing through it will not whistle. I just have some electrical tape over mine, haven't had the time to take it back off and come up with a permanent solution. But mine makes zero noise. I also used some door edge trim on every fin, but it wasn't until I covered the sides it went completely silent.

Get yourself some 7/8" windshield washer nozzle line and cut it into 6" strips. Use a small screwdriver to push each strip on alternating fins (one and each side and along the middle portion).

These can be found at your local auto parts stores for less than $6.00. Easiest fix ever.

Installed my light bar over 2 years ago and never had a whistle from day 1.

Would you guys recommend the single straight led light bar or the multiple singular circle lights?

Default Whistle

The whistle can easily be fixed with some weather stripping, but I have never been able to get rid of the flapping I get with a soft top and a light bar on the highway.

I used 1/4 irrigation tubing cut into pieces and put between the fins.

Or just get something like this. Some guys stated they did the trick. Light bar not at the top of my list yet.
