Default Lightest 37s

I'm currently running heavy ass 35" Toyo MTs which weight 90lbs each. Looking to move up to 37s but want to keep weight about the same if possible. Suggestions on lighter weight MT 37s with an aggressive tread?

MTR kevlars i think. i was told they were a lightish tire. best of previous tire knowledge, around 70lbs or 69?? i might be a little off. i never recommended toyo mts to anyone running a light rig or sub. great with big power and suspension/driveline.

MTR with Kevlar is 74.74 lbs in 37"

I sent Goodyear an email about it last week before I decided on them and that's what I received

Yep, the MTR/K is the lightest one.....but it also has one of the weakest sidewalls out there. I have a set of 40"s with 75% tread left on them and I pulled them off the jeep after slicing one open, putting the spare on and then cutting two more bad enough (still holding air though) for me to not trust driving on them. Great looking tire, but worthless unless you're sponsored by Goodyear and getting free replacements

Is there another set of light 37" tires you guy's would recommend that doesn't have weak sidewalls?

the 37" toyo is around 92lbs listed on their site. thats only 2lbs more than what u have.
the nitto 37" trail grappler is a bit lighter than the toyo's. its a D load range 8ply versus the toyo E range 10ply
people are always saying they are basically the same tire but that is not true. they have a different load rating and different tread construction. the nitto is a bit softer of a rubber too. the d range makes it ride softer and more tolerable on jeeps versus the heavy e rated toyo which is really designed for big trucks imo.

No. Less weight = less material = less strength. It that simple

Maybe you need to check what you're doing. You can slice any tire if you just spin them non stop against rocks.
