Things here to say the least have been crazy and hot. Time to head north for a bit.
I'm still torn on the winch decisions too and wish I could have made up my mind before this next trip. There was a great link a week or so ago on a winch shoot out that almost had my mind made up - and then hosed me thanks to one comment! But it was good. I saved the link...just put the www in front...

OK... but two questions....I think to be legal the lights have to be covered?? and thoes look nice but do not cover the lights?? and I already have the lights just want new covers...so they sell just the covers??? or would it be crazy to try painting the ones I have black??
I had the light bar on the roof of my KJ, never had them covered. In 4 years, never had a problem. Things might be different in your state.
That site also lists a clear acrylic stone shield. It might take paint better.

Hey JKGirl,
Try Krylon Fusion rattlecans. Should be available from your local Big Orange Place. This stuff is designed specifically to create a chemical (not mechanical) bond with most plastics. I've used it on a variety of different plastics and have had pretty good luck. By the way, nice lights! I just finished installing the same ones on my front bumper.

you don't have to have them covered. it's a good idea though, because they are pricey to replace if an 18 wheeler kicks a stone at them.
i rattlecanned the stone guards on my kc slimlites. looked good.
