Default Which Lights: Driving, Fog or Combo?

I am just about to receive my Shrockworks stubby front bumper. What lights shouild I use? What brand are people using (PIAA, KC)and why? Also, are the combos worth the money, or should I just stay with the drivng or fogs? Thanks.

I don't think the combos are worth the extra ~$150. Unless you live in an area that sees a lot of fog, I would get a set of driving lights and then angle them down and out a little bit. Think of them as a very powerful set of fog lights.

I'm looking into the PIAA All-Terrain Pattern lights. Their beam pattern is kind of a compromise between fog lights and driving lights, which is ideal IMO.

Have you looked at the Lightforce system I like their interchangeable filters to alter the beam pattern. I don't have them but they are on my list.

I went the bargain route with Hella 500 Driving lights (angled down a little) $60 at walmart. Alot of light for a little cash. One day I'll upgrade, but it will be after the lift, tires, rear bumper, coilovers, etc...

I'm running PIAA 520 driving lights on the windshield and 520 fogs for my stubby bumper.

The PIAA 525's are pricey but many say they are well worth it. They are a combo driving/fog.

If you are not happy with Lightforce lights, it either must have been a fluke thing, or something...i have never met anybody that was not satisfied with them. What model were you running??? I have a pair of 240s on the front of my jeep and they perform flawlessly every time. I have yet to find a light that is as bright, puts out a better beam pattern, and shines as far down the road as mine do. I would say the only other lights that even come close are the hella 4000s. Im getting ready to "up grade" my 240s by putting a 55watt HID bulb...search for HID conversion kit for lightforce lights....If i do this, its the equivalent to 4 240s talk about flame throwers. But in all honesty, i love my lightforce lights and wouldnt change them for anything.

I don't know of a better value in lighting than the Hella 500s. I have a pair of fogs on the bumper and a pair of driving on the winch loop. You can never have too much light but I have never been in a situation with this set up where I wished I had any more. 2 pair of Hellas are going to set you back about $150 for the entire kit. Not bad. If you get the Hellas make sure you upgrade to the 100w H3 bulbs for about $4.50 a piece.

I have attached a pic of my lights. Good luck
