Default Linex Windshield Brackets

I had a 2008 JKU before I bought my 2012 JKU and the first thing to start rusting was the windshield brackets. Looked terrible. My JKU is silver and I want to black-out some body parts anyway, such as the grille, cowl cover and windshield brackets. I figured the best way to do that would be with Linex. Has anyone had their windshield brackets coated with Linex? I want to remove them and have Linex coat the entire bracket with just a thin coat on the inner surfaces. I am worried about the brackets fitting back into place with all the bolts lining up and being able to tighten them down securely. Thoughts/comments are welcome!

I actuall bought some black ones but I later sprayed my factory ones with the duplicolor bedliner. They looked better than the aftermarket ones.
