I wouldn't be worried about the quality of their lifts. Xtreme 4x4 uses rustys products all the time. I have actually looked at the same lift but I'm pretty sure it came with lower controll arms.

personally, i might try to upgrade the shocks to something a little better. hydro shocks are pretty old school, won't give you the best ride and are typically offered to keep the cost of a kit down - every manufacturer offers them but, i wouldn't recommend them. aside from that, i might recommend that you pick up a set of adjustable front lower control arms so that you can add a tad bit more positive caster. while it isn't necessary, at this height, you will most likely find that your jeep feels flighty at highway speeds and more caster will help address this. also, being that you are a 2-door, you will need a new rear drive shaft sooner than later but, i would keep running your factory shaft for as long as possible and replace it only when you need to. when you do, you will need a set of adjustable rear upper arms so that you can set your pinion angle. if you have an automatic, you will also need a new front drive shaft. if you have a 6-speed, you will not.

it is on the rustys site but after what wayoflife said i have to change up my plan i cannot swing the extra 1000 for shafts.. i guess i will just have to drop down to a rk 2.5 stock mod kit to avoid that. I guess I can always upgrade later.. great advise thanks guys.. by the way wayoflife loved the snow run video that you shot..excellent keep up the great work.

Rustys is a vendor here. Had a bunch of their stuff on an XJ. Its really is good quality. x2 on what WOL said though, some better shocks will make all the diff. mabe some 5100's. I've been going back and forth on this kit as well, all depends on how my axles turn out. I say go for it, and yes a few other forum members have this kit, hopefully they'll chime in.

well, in all fairness, you won't need to swing the extra 1000 all at once. if you have an automatic, you will tear your front drive shaft boot the first time you flex out your jeep but, you can run with it like that for a while. also, your factory rear shaft can end up lasting as much as a year or more, i have seen it for myself. maybe this will give you enough time to save up and make the upgrades when you can afford it.

bilstein 5100's are really nice shocks, not too expensive and something i would recommend.

oh ok well thats a little better.. i had be reading about the boot ordeal on the front but didnt know the height/angle that it would occur. if i left my disco's connected and restrict my flex obviously until i have the money i should be ok right?

agree on the 5100's could get the whole kit with 5100s elsewhere for about 800..sounds like a plan if yall think i can get away with it until i can get shafts and control arms.

again thanks.. sometime you just need to bounce ideas off of someone to make sure you are not crazy or missing something..

Here you go. It is a great kit for the money. It actually rides better than stock you would be fine with the hydro shocks for now and could upgrade them when they wear out. Like wayoflife said front lower control arms would be a good addition. I don't have them yet and don't have any issues but it is in the plans. I have had no issues with this lift and even after adding a bumper and winch it hasn't sagged much at all. As far as my front driveshaft I will run my stocker until it gives issues then swap it for a coast.
