Default "little snowflake button thing"

HOW TRUE IS THIS?????

Quoted from adgraydba:

"If you got the X aparently a True AC is optional i was gonna get my Jeep until the salesmen told me this, and he wasnt BSing me. If u turn the knob all the way cold its not AC, and that its an actual extra to get the little snowflake button that makes it true AC and extra cold, so i got a Jeep with that

If the coldest reading ur getting in 62, and you got a Jeep with the little snowflake button thing, take it back to the dealer and have them fix it cause when mine is on its frikin cold, haha"

Quoted here is my reply in your top insulation thread:

Otherwise you're just regulating the amount of heat to ambient air temp. All the way toward cold would be like opening the vent in old cars.

And I agree if you're only getting 62 at the vent I would at least have the dealer check it out. I know in the high 90's here last summer it took a while to cool inside but I'm sure the vent temps were lower than that (seat-of-the-pants feel).

As far as insulation, seems there are a couple write-up on it here. And I think someone makes an insulation pad for the hard top. Sorry I can't remember who it is That top does get super hot
