Load range question
Milage really isn't determined by load range. I guess one could assume that an E rated tire will be a tougher tire anyway you look at it (side wall strength, more plys, etc), so maybe it has a harder rubber compound that would net more miles. But, not really. I've used E rated tires on my work trucks for years and it really depends on what tire you have. I've had some last 60K miles and others only 45K miles. So, milage no, depends on the manufacturer and particular tire. Weight, I would think yes. An E will weigh more than a C or D range tire because it will usually have more plys.
Fuel mileage and performance will suffer some because of the added rotational mass but wear should be the same or possibly better. I say ts because I put D rated Tires on my 2500 dodge. They didn't last long..25k they were pretty shot. I switched back to E rated and they lasted much longer...I know tires and vehicles are all different, but figured I'd mention it. E rated tires are usually more expensive also.. If you found a good deal they'll be fine...
