Default Locker Light Blinks After Gear Install?

Had my 4.10s swithched out for 4.88s. The shop noticed that the front locker light blinks at times up until 25 mph, then the light goes off? What is happening? Will it hurt anything to keep running?

it takes a bit for the light to go off stock and so long as it does go off, you are fine.

Appreciate the reply. That's one other thing I don't have to worry about.

not that i have to remind you but be sure to do a thorough cleaning of your differential when you do you 500 mile post gear install fluid change. during that period of time, A LOT of metal will be worn off and it WILL start to interfere with the dog clutch and sensor. eventually, this will cause your locker to stick more and can cause it to fail.

are you talking about when you have the locker engaged?

if the light flashes then stays on this is ok(of course). but if the light flashes then goes off, they may not have installed your locker sensor properly after gear install.

mine was crushed after install because the sensor was on wrong side of dog clutch, so when locker engaged the sensor was crushed.

WOL has some photo's of this posted in forum.

if you want you could send me a private message and i'll email you photo's.
