Default Locker position sensor?

Installed my pro rock about a month ago. My gear installer didn't put the sensor in until after the carrier was installed. I pulled the sensor so I could drive it til I could fix it.

I stripped a few threads off the end so I could get it in on an angle, hooked the plunger, tried it with the cover off, and presto everything works great.

Until I drive to work this morning. In 2wd at a stop the dash light is off, as soon as start to move the light blinks???

Any ideas what this could be, I know for a fact it is not locked, and when put in 4lo the locker works fine and the light stays on.

Does it continue to blink when you are in 2wd, and 4wd unlocked?

If so, it is probably stuck in the extended position.
It could also be a short in the wires leading to it.

I have not tried 4wd with it unlocked, it does continue to blink in 2wd. On occasion it will stop for a while when moving, and always turns off when the Jeep is stopped in 2wd.
