Locker Probs& DS,TFC Gurus
Thanks BlackNorthernJK, The guys at the dealer( the tranny gut is well versed in lockers & such) Explained to me that the frt locker was causing a rocking type of tension on the TF case chain through the DS, hence the chain/bearing type noise I was getting from the TF case. He said unless I wanna be replacing chains often , to get locking hubs, get a selectable locker or take the auto locker out. Actually I'd love locking hubs, but they're mucho denero. I'm gonna just pull the DS and bring it back to the shop that installed it and go from there. If it's gonna F'up my TF case, I want it out. I know not many on here have auto lockers on the JK, now I know why.
That's ok, my wifey gave me permission to get an impact wrench today so I wouldn't have to bang my elbows up on crap I've been adjusting and taking on and off. Tomorrow morning, castor will be set back to what it was and driveshaft will be pulled. So at least tomorrow I can run the damn thing topless and doorless for a couple days. I've been so jealouse all week seeing jeeps topless. This crap started a month and a half ago, heell it's been at the dealer for almost a month waiting for parts. I've gotta hand it to my dealer though for not charging me for replacing the bearings ,seals, chain in the TC. Although it coulda been cause of the beer, pizza and donuts I brought them.
PS, I've become an expert at adjusting castor and pulling frt driveshafts because of this. Good comes from the bad I guess.
