Default Locker Question

Can you use a TJ D44 locker on a rear JK D44 with the 30 spline shafts? Obviously the new rubicon 44 wouldnt work (32 spline)

Never mind, found out that you cannot............was hoping to save some $$. So who has installed an aftermarket locker? Hope Superior makes a "Super 44" kit for the JK as well.........was always fine with 37's.

The D44 lockers that people are using are the same except they use 3.73 and lower instead of 3.90 and above because of the thick gears, so a TJ locker in 3.73 and lower should work.

Do you know for certain? I need to regear for my 35's but I can't get a straight answer from Randy's Ring and Pinion on what works. They said they did two JK with 4.88's and got completely different results. RingandPinion.Biz said I just need a new case(carrier) for the D30 and I would be good to go. I am so confused:sad:

I just want a staight answer, I have the money to drop for gears and front and rear lockers but I don't want to pull the axles apart get half way through the setup and be able to finish due to wrong parts.
