Locker, Truetrac, or something else...
I'd appreciate the group's opinion...
Based on my last correspondence with them, Superior indicated that they're ~6 weeks away from having the 4.56 gearing I'm after (should go well with my 33's & 6 speed). While upgrading from my 3.73 axles, I'd like to replace (likely have to replace) the current factory Trac-lok in the back. One fellow recommended a Detroit (Eaton) Truetrac, and being that I don't expect to be rock climbing much (or otherwise having a wheel in the air), that sounded reasonable (I might even put one in the front). Should I be considering any other LSD's?
Or...
Should I be considering a Detroit locker, etc? I'd like to avoid the expense & installation complication of an electric or air-powered locker (that might be a misconception on my part...), on what will be a Jeep used largely on easy trails, muddy stuff & snow. I don't have any illusions of doing the things many of you guys do!
Thanks in advance for your valued input!
Regards,
Mark Gibson

ive got a detroit in the back and tru trac in the front.
if youre not wheeling a lot or its a daoly driver you may want to steer clear of a locker.
i think youll like tru tracs front and rear, they dont wear out.

Agreed, but I want something I can 'set & forget', and just shopping quickly, I think I can get ~2 x Truetracs for what I'd pay for a single (and more complex) selectable locker. This is a DD, and my wheeling will be relegated to 'kid stuff' - I don't have the stones or skill to do what a lot of you all do!
