Lockers
I have a aussie in the front and a limited slip in the rear that I just replaced the clutch pack with 70% and it has been great. That limited slip combined with my BLDs it really feels like a true locker. Just recently went on a off road trip and people thought I had installed a locker in the rear. It does slip, but barely.
ECTED rear and Detroit Truetrac up front (it's a helical gear LSD)
Bonus with the Auburn out back is it's limited slip when not electromagnetically engaged, but locks up instantly with the push of a button, unlocks just as quickly...never had any issues with that
.....Downside of the Auburn is it's a clutch pack style limited slip/locker which means it WILL wear out eventually...now Auburn does have a lifetime exchange policy...but I'm not sure how much they'll like it that I had to drill out the ring gear holes to 1/2" to accomodate our JK ring gear bolts
I've got no complaints on this locker for what I do anyways (not extreme rock crawling) This is primarily a daily driver/weekend hunting rig, taken it into some good technical stuff, climbed a few boulders once and it was cake
The Detroit Truetrac is a helical gear limited slip, no additive requirements in your diff fluid, maintenance free, and works better than any other clutch pack style limited slip I've ever had...with the benefit of our BLD, it will provide tons of extra traction up front
...being that I had to replace the entire carrier, that's the way I went...if I had an accommodating carrier (3.73 and up) up front I would have installed an Aussie or Lockrite
....hell, if I'd had the money I woulda put ARB's all around
