Default lockers

Can't find the info. on lockers..have a2012 JK just finished an OME lift W/35" rubber.Have 3.73 w/LSD, thinkin bout re gearing to 4.56/ 4.88. My question is which lockers are "better" for the long term.I was lookin @ Eaton E-locker. Anyone have these? Are they good/bad? Also considering OX Lockers w/cable act. but heard the have problems?? Not sure. I know ARB has air lockers, but thought the extra cost & poss. damage to airlines,an issue? Was thinkin to add lockers Front&Rear. (BTW not a serious "rock crawler") just like traction;-)

I would go 4.56 for a 2012+ jk and arb is the best and they do make a braided line for were it atraches to housing but I would prob go front and rear truetracs if it was me. Thats what I plan on for my future plans

This is a good overview.
Project-JK.com - Jeep JK Wrangler Resource » Dynatrac Presents - Lockers 101

As noted above, if you don't need thousand dollar selectables, it's hard to beat a pair a truetracs. A quick search will bring up plenty of threads on them to read through.

Love my ARBs, they are the gold standard IMO when it comes to selectables. You don't want to use steel braided air lines on an ARB, you'd rather a snagged line snap instead of breaking other things. Nylon air lines are cheap and easy to replace as well, although I've never had to yet. You are right though about the cost.

I have the Eaton E-locker on my rear axle (Auburn Ected on the front D30). In the many, many thousands of miles I've driven off-road (mostly expedition/overlanding, but that includes some pretty tough routes), I've used the rear axle about a half dozen times. I've used the front twice. They work well for me. Unless you're really into serious rock crawling, or you're doing a lot of off-roading that will include some really tough routes, I wouldn't even bother with the front axle. It's a pain to steer with the front locked. That's why I always opt for the rear first when I need a little extra boost.

Here, at 5:38 is one of the times that I was fully locked. The rest of this trip was done unlocked in my heavily modified X with a D30 front/D44 rear, 4.88 gears, Duratrac AT 35" tires ...

Mark, what do you think of the trutrac front and rear for a daily driver? lots of winter slippery driving etc. I figure it would be the best choice for me.

Update on the locker question;does the re-gear choice effect the crawl ratio? Or not enough to consider between 4.56/4.88? Also, how do you know what the front axle gear is?(have D30F/D44R)& if you re-gear is the front done as well?Thank you for the link to lockers 101, gonna get me an edgeamcation on 'um=-O
