I know a lot of guys that love the ARB, and they are a strong and capable locker. I don't know which locker is stronger, ARB vs. Eaton.

But for what it is worth, if your air compressor fails for some reason, so do your lockers. If an airline gets nicked or cut (worse), so go the lockers.

If I break a wire on my eLocker, I can MacGyver something on the trail a lot easier than I can fix an air compressor.

I mean technically, with the plastic airline, you can tape it up and it should be fine. If your compressor does go out, yeah, you're toast. But, that's why I went with the braided lines and everything is routed out of the way.

I will say, I did see a video of ARB vs Yukon's I believe and the Yukon's were thrashed and ARBs were good to go...But again, it's probably marketing.

That video was awesome. I would love to see an independent lab conduct the same test under controlled circumstances. I'm sure there was a lot of marketing in that, but I'm no expert.

If my Rubicon lockers ever give me any trouble, I'd be inclined to go ARB, mostly, other than a stock Rubi locker, ARB is pretty much my only choice. :(

I've been told by some locals that auto-lockers (one guy mentioned Detroit specifically) would be a huge no-no, as they can send you flying down the gorge when you want to turn. I haven't been stuck yet, but I have to keep the road open in winter to my cabin as the Feds and County have been fighting on who will keep the rocks and boulders at bay for the plows. I use a drag as if you use a plow, there are very strict requirements from the Feds for the short amount of paved road, and when the snow gets rotten, it gets interesting even with chains all around especially when the weekend warriors come up with sleds. I have no issues getting the ARB setup, but would like to explore my options. Any opinions appreciated.
get Detroit Trutrac's put in front and rear. They are a gear driven instead of clutch packs, they are on all the time, and just about as good as lockers and better than lockers if driving around in snow covered roads.

I tried taping the airline, it didn't last long enough to engage. The only way to go is to use the braided stainless lines if you go with an ARB; I am going to be doing this soon.

Plus SS lines are goat proof. You won't have to worry about a stray goat chewing on your plastic lines.

As if ARB's weren't expensive enough.

Yeah I know Running a SS line from the front to the back you might as well sell a kidney to help off-set the cost.
