Default locking hood problem

hi all,
i installed a OEM key lock to my 2014 Unlimited Wrangler hood. The OEM part #82213051AB keys itself to the ignition key. I did this a month ago and everything was fine. Now I tried to open the hood and the key still turns 45degrees to the left as it did originally. only it seems the inside plate that attaches to the key cylinder is loose and not moving far enough to the left to get out of the way of the latch... so the hood doesn't open at all. Any advice out there will be greatly appreciated! Do they make a tool that will slide in there and manually move the latch? Thanks!
Matt

Yes. A thin screw driver will do it.

My OEM lock turns to the left 90°. If yours turns only 45°, that may be part of the problem.
