The best answer I have found so far...

Why does the bolt pattern change?

The pilot hole on your factory wheels is physically too small to allow the lockout hub body to pass through it. The 5 on 5.5 inch pattern wheels offer a much larger pilot bore.

I have also heard it mentioned that it wasn't possible because of the wheel bearing configuration on the JK. Something about there not being enough room between the lugs.......which I'm not sure I understand considering everyone and their brother makes lockout hubs for the 4.5x5 bolt pattern. Beats me, but I would be high on the list to want a set if anyone manages to start making them in a JK compatible package that keeps the stock 5x5

Spyntech makes a hub conversion. $1450.

One catch. From the advertisement: This kit will change your bolt pattern to 5 on 5.5 inches. Rotors will need bored and drilled.

That is about the best you can do.
