Thanks for all the help guys, I like the Lod Bumpers, but I couldn't help it I'm stuck on the Warn bumpers for some reason. I should have the front rock crawler bumper by midweek. the back bumper is a couple paychecks away!!

 

.. They both look great. My JK ..like a lot of others is still on order..but I'm keen to source a good looking, functional rear bar with carrier & integral tow hitch. The LOD appealed to me...just wondered if the hitch is up to the 3500 lbs the cars are rated to tow ?

 

I am not sure what the actual specs are but it looks quite strong. I have towed a ~2700 lb trailer for about 9 hours and it did not give any. Not that it couldn't, but I am very pleased with my LoD bumpers.

 

Is the rear bumper storage area waterproof?

 

No it is not.

 

If you plan on towing anything with the Lod rear bumper then you will have to weld safety chain catches onto the bumper. It wouldn't be legal (or safe) without it. There is a pix on a thread here somewhere where it shoes a guy welded on two carabiners.
