Default Lod front skidplate install?

I just installed a Lod front mid bumper. I noticed that the slotted holes in the skid plate do not line up with the holes where it's supposed to mount to the crossbar. However, the four holes that mount the skid to the bumper line up perfectly. Right now the skid is only bolted to the front bumper but seems very solid.

I'm wondering if I was sent the wrong skid or if drilling is required. That is a hella thick skid plate. Does anyone have experience with this on a 2010?

on mine, the outside 2 holes on the skid line up with the holes in the frame and I bolted them on.

The 2 middle oblong holes don't match up with any holes on the crossmember of the frame, so I just left them without bolts on it.

with 4 bolts bolted to bumper and 2 to frame, my skid feels more than adequately attached and strong.

I installed the same skid plate. On the bottom the drivers side lined up and had to drill a hole for the passenger side. It felt solid with the one bolt on the bottom, but i didn't want to chance it, so I drilled. That cross bar is not thick at all and was easy to drill. Started with a small bit and worked my way up to a 3/8 bit. The passenger side bolt actually does bring the plate in closer, so I guess it is necessary

Thanks for the info. I'll just drill the hole on the passenger side and be done with it.

I am very happy with it. In my opinion it's the best looking front bumper out there. Now I need to get the matching rear bumper
