Default LOD Midwidth Bumper Add On

I was thinking of purchasing the LOD Bumper with a Warn powerplant as my first upgrade. I was wondering two things. One, will the bumper effect my airbag system in the case of an accident. I have experienced that most front collision sensors are in the bumper or right behind it. I was thinking the strength of the LOD over stock may prevent the airbag deployment when it would otherwise activate. Or in the case that the sensor is in the stock bumper, would I relocate it or fit it in the new LOD bumper. the second question is, will the midwidth and the powerplant weight have a big effect on the front suspension, or is the weight of that about the same as the stock bumper? Thanks for your input people...

first off, no, the bumper will not effect your air bag system as the sensors are located in side your jeep and under the front passenger seat. there are no sensors wires or other wise located behind the factory bumper.

second, the front bumper alone isn't heavy enough to cause too much sag but the powerplant is very heavy and together, you will see about .5" of sag up front. not enough to effect the way your jeep handles but enough to be visibly noticable.

The sensor is in the cabin on the JK.

I am not a mechanical engineer but my thoughts are that no aftermarket bumper will cause airbag issues with this configuration. May have been why the designers did it this way.

I have the LOD stubby. I highly recommend LOD.

Put a 1" spacer up front and you will take care of that .5" sag and the Factory rake.

This is the bumper I will eventually get as well.
