Default LoD rock sliders

Anyone have these? How well have they held up to some good punishment? My girlfriend is short...I need something with a step. I want something that will take some good rock impacts though. If someone is using something similar and it takes punishment well....please feel free to make a suggestion.

Thanks,

Default LoD Sliders... No Abuse Applied ... Yet

Thanks,
Hi,

I can't really comment on the ability of the LoD sliders to take abuse as they were just installed last weekend.

I can, however, comment on the vertically challenged companion aspect.

My wife is rather short. With a 3" lift, it was almost impossible for her to step into the JK on her own. With the LoD sliders, she can "manage". One of the big advantages, I think, is being able to take that step outside as opposed to having to plant her foot inside the tub.

Good Luck

Jeff

I have a little experience sliding LOD's across the rocks. Except for a little of the powdercoat loss no damage at all (not even through to the metal though). My wife really appreciates the step too!

Thanks for the repplies. They seem to be the best deal for the price that I can find. I just wanted to ask around a little before I buy them.

They are nice, and they're made here in Indiana too. I got a pretty good hit on the driver's side slider last time out at the badlands and only a tiny scratch to show for it.

I've heard alot of good things about these sliders, think they look good and the steps are a plus!! Saved my ass when my wife found out I spent $650 on a pair of them. I was like "but I bought them for you honey, it will make it easier for you to get into the jeep"

Although I ordered them on April 12th and I'm still waiting to get 'em. Apparently there 4-5 weeks behind so here I wait. Hopefully not for very much longer.

I plan on ordering a set of these soon too, they are very nice looking and the step for my wife was a good selling point for her.

I'm still waiting for my LoD sliders to arrive. Hopefully they will a day or two before I go to Moab on the 22nd so I can have time to install them before I make the trip. Although I know my rubi rails will be good I'd just rather be sporting the LoD rails. I think timing will be close. I ordered them on April 12 and LoD told me they are 4-5 weeks behind. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

I ordered my sliders on April 13th and Chris at the time told me 4 weeks. So, the next day, I call him back and order the rear bumper with tire carrier and midwidth front bumper thinking it would be just as fast. Well, after calling Chris back several times after the 4 week period, he told me my sliders (modified for a 1" body lift) supposedly shipped out on Thursday, June 4th and my rear bumper would of shipped the following day on the 5th So, with that said, I'm gonna call him up first thing Monday morning (tomorrow), and ask him if they really shipped out! I hope so! I'll report back after I speak to him.
