Default long arm-short arm

I don't know much about mods for wranglers. I have a rc 4" lift with factory control arms. What is the difference between long and short arm lifts? What are the positives for the long arm?

A set of either short or long arms that are adjustable will improve your JK's handling. Now long arms can make for a even better ride on/off road. Just stay away from cam bolts.
