Default Longer rear brake lines

I just ordered a set of Teraflex 26" brake lines for the rear to replace the stockers. I never had a problem with the stock lines, but had the Jeep up on a lift during the gear install, and the drop of the axle put a pretty good stretch on them.

Question - With a 26" length, do I keep the drop bracket that was supplied for the stock lines, or do I go back to the original bracket connection at the frame?

even with the extension brackets removed, the teraflex lines are SUPER LONG especially for just 3" of lift. needless to say, remove them

the TF lines are good and they are what i use on my white JK but only because i have so much flex and they are so long. on my orange JK, i run the crown lines that northridge4x4 has.

they aren't as long and are coated. no real big deal that the TF lines are so long but, they do look a little funny in the rear as they just bow out and up front, it can take some effort to tie them up out of the way so that they don't rub your tires and/or get in the way of other things.

As a comparison, I have the OME lift with the extended crown lines from Northridge. The line on my rear passenger side ripped off the frame the first time I went out to flex it to check for rubbing/line tightness/ etc. Can't comment on the TF lines, but I had to add brackets to the crown lines.

With a 3" TF coil lift, stay with those longer TF lines...

I just noticed in the box the new lines came in that there are no replacement washers for the banjo bolts.

Are the washers generic and just be picked up at the auto parts store.

Additionally, no hardware came to attache the upper portion of the lines to the hard lines on the Jeep. Will I need any?

NO - the crush washers are made of copper and as the name suggests, are designed to "crush" during installation. you should have gotten new washers and mounting brackets and if you didn't, i would make a call and get them.

Wayoflife - Actually meant "were the crush washers a generic size", or did the Jeep calipers take a specific size. I did however take your suggestion and call Teraflex. They are sending me out the washers, bracket and clips free of charge. Thank you for the forum support!

Note! The 26" lines do not include mounting hardware. If you buy the 30" lines, it is all included. As both retail for the same price, it sounds like they will be correcting what is included with the 26" kit from here on out.
