Default longer shocks

Is there any benefit to running longer shocks than specified? I have a JKU with a 3.5" lift, bilstein lists 2 lengths of shocks, 2-3.5" lift and 4-5" lift. Can I run the longer shocks for more travel without any problems?

You will get more axle droop with longer shocks. You should be able to run the longer bilsteins without bottoming out.
