Default Look what I did today!!!

With my 35's on order. I got bored again and decided to work on my JK. I already had the RotoPax Tire mount so I decided to mod it out and relocate my 3rd brake light because with 35's it would have been completely blocked.

So I cut off the 3rd brake light mount and wires. I have to say this thing is made out of cheap cast aluminum thing was brittle and just broke apart.

Then I got some parts from my RC Jeep bin and got some connectors. Stripped back the wires fluxed and soldered the wires and added the connector. Used a hand torch and heat shrunk all the wires. I did that for both ends. If I ever need to get to the spare I can just take the RotoPax off and Disco the light.

Trimmed the 3rd brake light bracket to the correct size lined up the existing holes from the bracket marked the RotoPax mount plate and drilled them out. I used Door hinge pins for rivets I just trimmed them down so I could buck them.

I cant say this is my best fab work but it did the job!! Here are the Pics

Thanks guys. I'm a Air framer by trade so I like doing easy stuff like this.

The best part about it is once I get my Teraflex tire carrier with hinge upgrade its totally transferable! All I have to do is undo the quick disconnect and pull the wire aside and install the upgraded carrier.

I really think that RotoPaX should make this for other Jeepers. I think this would be a great product to sell.

Step 1. Pitch them the idea. Step 2. Ask for a 10% royalty in perpetuity. Step 3. Put a hemi in the jk.

Perfect plan if I do say so myself.

Really looks great and the fact it has the quick disco is nothing short of genius. Nice work
