Looking for the best gears.
I need some help with gears and i'm running 285-70-17 with OME HD plus smittybuilt bumpers plus LOD sliders. I'm weighted and now with the new tires i can really tell the difference.
Which gears and brand. I was told that Rubicon gears are excellence produce and i should run 4.88 gears. now i've look at the chart and thats right but hows $1600 for parts and labor on both axles.
"rubicon" is this yukon ring and pinion set? I just don't known

Haven't heard of Rubicon gears. Guessing they are just a reboxed version of someone elses gears? Or is that just gears 'for' a rubicon, as opposed to gears for an X/Sahara?
Which shop are you using? You might consider a drive up to SLC in Dallas. Or check Craigslist in Houston for another shop.
