What vehicle is recommended to take these out of?
I've heard the ford vans are good because they are full floaters?
Any other advice?

 

for the front most people look for a 78-79 ford kingpin out of a 350 as they are a driver droop high pinion and 69" wide. They may be tough to find in cali though. Lots of options for the rear, you just want to be aware of the size and location of the differential, you will want it to be offset just a bit to the driver side so you have clearance on the fuel tank.

 

A friend of mine just did this. I will find out what he pulled them out of.
