Looking for input - Lift/Leveling issue
Greetings everyone. A month ago I installed front and rear LoD bumpers. I installed a winch and the skid plate on the front and as well as the tire carrier with the rear bumper. I tell you this to give you an idea of the weight I added to the Jeep. I'm running 35" tires with a 2.5" Teraflex bb suspension system. So it should not surprise anyone that I have lost about an 1" to an 1.5" on both the front and rear of the vehicle. I really liked how the Jeep sat before installing the bumpers so I want to correct the issue.
A couple of you were great in suggesting the Teraflex leveling kit to fix the issue. Being a little mechanically challenged, I went to 4wheel parts today to see if they will install it. I've had a great relationship with them previously (lift, gears, tires, and rims done there) so I thought I would share their advice with you to see what you think.
The salesman suggested I go with the Procomp 4" lift instead of the leveling kit. He said the weight of the LoD bumpers is so significant that the 4" lift would ultimately add only about 2" to the Jeep, taking it back to the look I had (which I want) before installing the bumpers. We went outside and looked at the front suspension and he showed me how, shit, forgot the actual name of the part, something was actually sitting on the bumpstop already (suggesting it was bottomed out). The difference in price is about $800.00 ($1,100 installed for the Procomp lift). I've been reading up on the Procomp 4" lift here on the forum and I am concerned because the reviews are less than satisfactory.
Right now the front of the vehicle sits about a 1/2" higher than the rear. There's about 3.5" from the top of the front tire to the bottom of the fender. Prior to bumper installation it was about 4.5" - 5." The rear is similar (3.5" from the top of the tire to the bottom of the fender). I'm interested in hearing how you would handle this situation if you were looking to add a couple of inches to the Jeep while also leveling it or even raising the rear slightly higher than the front if needed. Thanks for any help or suggestions you can provide.

If u add that much lift u will need to change out a couple other parts also so add more cash to that price.
but anyways I would just call teraflex and order a 1 inch spring spacers for the front and a half inch for the rear and have some friends come over from the forum and help u install it for some beer and bbq so u could learn and save some cash.
good luck with that anyways

Have same bumpers and winch with 35s. Replaced by budget boost with ome hd lift netting about 2.5 in with the extra weight. There are cheaper coil lifts but realoty is that you need new springs at least - ie, could get stiffer but stock height springs and keep budget boost spacers.
I would avoid the pro comp lift as well. They don't put a lot of effort to maintain what the jeep needs to not wear other parts out faster. (DS,knuckles, Us, etc)
Teraflex, Rubicon Express, Rock Krawler, OME(if they'd get their shocks off back order) would be my picks.
TF- great budget stuff to get you in the air before you get the crawl 'bug'. And... When you do... They have a 4 inch kit that is killer.
RE- most complete kits I have read about. Adj front and rear track bars in a kit and still just scraping 3000. Effing amazing! 3.5 - 4 inch kits
RK- FLEX!!! Holy S! Super complete kits minus a track bar for the front. 2500 bucks 3.5 inches of lift.
My .02 cents

Thank you for the responses everyone. I'll research the Rubicon Express lift and maybe try to get a second opinion. I was really hoping that with the budget boost already installed, I could add the teraflex leveling kit to it to get what I am looking for, perhaps not though. Thanks again.

Thanks Dirtman. I looked up the JKS ACOS adjustable coil spacer and I am intrigued, depending on what the "modifications" are it mentions. Thanks for the tip!
Get some weights of your vehicles and try and figure how much your extras weight, call a couple of manufactures like old man emu and off road evolutions and talk to them about coils, for the best ride and performance from your suspension you want to "tune" it to your ride. OME makes a bunch of different coils based on weight.
You could also do an adjustable coil spacer like the JKS ACOS that will give you a min of 1" of lift and is adjustable up to 3.5"
