looking like CRAZY for the roof rack mount!
have any of you seen this roof rack and know where i can get it?
i found this picture on Quadratec advertising the Yakima LoadWarrior Gear Basket...but it's not the basket that i want at this point...i just want a way to mount a simple (ae. "cheap") rack onto the factory roll cage.
thanks for the help, y'all!

I believe it says they will not fit on a JK. The only thing that looks like will fit on a JK are these

I would be curious to know how strong it would be mounted to the hard top though.

I have been thinking about starting a thread to ask about these

I do a lot of skiing in the winter and wondered if anybody has ever installed these.

It wouldn't take much to mount four small pieces of track to the JK sport cage under the padding. You could then put four slits in the sport cage cover and mount the bases from either a Thule or Yakima system through the slits to the track. Hope that description makes sense.

if ya wanna mount it to the roll cage and not bother having the top on then why not just use those 2 holes that are in the crossmember that has the speakers?
that way it could be held down as solid as ever.
and hell i could whip up something like that easy

In the picture you provided those are the "universal" mounts that have a rubber strap that wraps around a bar (any bar within a certain diameter). The rubber wraps around the bar and then kind of clips to itself and then you tighten a bolt that in turns tights the strap around the bar. I had a set of the thule versions on my tahoe's factory rack. I think the prduct # was 450 (I am probably wrong) but I don't know if this will help you or just confuse the situation more...
