Default Looking for New shocks! Need Opinions??

Hey guys i have a quick question to ask. I am running my 08 Unlimited JK on a 4.5 premium AEV lift kit. Ive always done more of rock crawling and hill climbs and ive had an urge to go out and go through the desert at higher speeds. I am looking at new shocks to buy and im interested in either the 2.0 and 2.5 remote reservoir fox shocks or the Bilstein 5165 reservoir shocks. I do have added weight from a front and rear bumper and rock sliders. I dont know if that'd make a difference or not but if anyone can help me out and guide me to which would ride smoothest on and off road itd be greatly appreciated! thanks

Northridge has the reservoir bilsteins that are specifically tuned for the AEV coils. I think that would be your best bet since they were engineered to work together.

Alright thanks a bunch! I appreciate it and ill look into the bilsteins even more and find more about how they will ride. If anyone else has any suggestions for which i should go with that'd be greatly appreciated as well because im hoping to get a some more opinions on the shocks i listed above. thanks!

I went with the Teraflex Tuned Fox Shox and love them. But I think I would agree with sahara, go with the bilsteins if they are tuned for the AEV. I think it makes a huge difference having them specifically made to work together.

Fox, King and Bilstein are all great offroad shox. Most are rebuildable. Usually the vehicle spacific shocks are not rebuildable but if you get into the fox 2.0 emulsion shocks and up, they are rebuildable. Bilstein 7100 and up are rebuildable. To my knowledge, all king shocks are rebuildable.

Note : my definition of rebuildable is these shocks can all be torn down, new parts can be purchased to replace broken/worn parts and they can be custom valved to the users liking.

I'm no expert on this but I know a little bit.
